A shocking incident unfolded on Monday morning in Raipur village under the Bagjola Gram Panchayat within the jurisdiction of Baduria Police Station in North 24 Parganas district, where a family dispute turned deadly. A man was allegedly stabbed to death by his own uncle following an argument over land division and access to their house.
The deceased has been identified as Shamim Mandal (42), while the accused uncle has been identified as Jabbar Mandal. According to local sources, a heated argument broke out between the two around 8:00 am over issues related to land distribution and the route leading to their residence. The situation quickly escalated into a physical altercation during which, in a fit of rage, Jabbar Mandal allegedly stabbed Shamim Mandal in the abdomen with a knife. Shamim suffered severe injuries and began bleeding profusely as family members and locals rushed to help.
He was immediately taken to Baduria Rural Hospital for treatment, but doctors declared him dead upon arrival. The tragic incident has left the entire village in shock and mourning as police begin their investigation into the matter.
